内容記述 本研究では，社会に向けて病の体験を語る活動をする精神障害者に，どのような経緯を経て語ることを決意し，その活動の中でどのような体験をしているのかについてインタビューを行い，分析し，語りの場のあり方について考察した．
　その結果，語りのプロセスを通して回復のプロセスをたどっていることが明らかになった．彼らは，語りのための原稿を書く作業を通し自分を見つめるという困難を乗り越え，自己物語を再形成していた．そして，それを語ることは，自分の言葉で自己を表現するという意味があった．語りの場での聞き手からの肯定的な反応から，当事者はエンパワメントを得ていた．また，当事者の所属する施設のスタッフは当事者の自分を振り返り，人前で語るという困難な仕事を遂行する上で，その後押しをする重要な存在であった．そのスタッフから安全感，安心感を感じながら，彼らは「当事者としての語り手」という新たな社会的役割と価値を獲得し，他者のために語り手として語ることで，人々に受け入れられ，尊重されるという感覚を得て，新しい自己像の書き換えをする体験をしていた．語りの場では，語り手と聞き手の率直な反応の交流を通して，相互作用を強化することが重要であり，当事者の回復を助ける場となることがわかった．

内容記述 By interviewing persons with mental disorders who have been active in telling toward society about their illnesses, this study shed light on how they made up their minds to start telling and what they have experienced in the activities, data obtained from which was analyzed to examine occasions of such narratives.
As a result, it was revealed that they have followed a process of recovery as they undergo the process of telling their narratives. Having overcome the difficulties of writing a text of their narratives by taking a careful look at their own life, these mentally disordered persons reconstructed their life stories. In addition, telling the narratives was significant in that it represents expressing themselves in their own words. They have been empowered by receiving positive responses from the audience at the venue. At the same time, the staff of the institution where they belong to have played an important role as supporters providing backing for them to accomplish a hard task of reflecting on themselves and telling their stories in front of people. Feeling sense of security and peace of mind thanks to the presence of the staff, they have acquired a new role and value in the society as "a teller who has actually been through." By giving their narratives as a teller, they gained a sensation that they were accepted and respected by the people, securing a new, revised self image. It was found to be important at the venue of narratives to strengthen the interaction between the teller and the listeners exchanging frank responses, which proved to be an opportunity that would contribute to recovery of the mentally disordered.
