| 内容記述 | New nurses who graduated from nursing university and left the job within one year of entry were studied with the aim to describe their experience up to the time of leaving. Semi-structured interviews were conducted in two subjects who entered the nursing profession after graduating from nursing university but left the job within one year, and who had left at least one year ago. The contents of interviews were recorded with consent from the two participants in the study. The tapes were transcribed literally and analyzed qualitatively. Results of analyses extracted the following experience. 1. <Worked in a tense atmosphere because of the “brutally busy work schedule”> 2. <Was bullied by one of the senior staff> 3. <The inability to practice a skill the first time after being taught> 4. <Was being shouted at in front of patients> 5. <Was labeled as a person who did not put in any effort, and tried too hard to do what was right> 6. <Onset of somatic symptoms such as extreme insomnia> 7. <Vicious cycle of insomnia, lowered concentration, more mistakes, scolded by senior staff> 8. <Even when consulting with the seniors, was cut short of my conversation and did not get any response> 9. <The only thought was “I must try hard to continue and not to quit,” and kept on trying hard> 10. <Realized that I had become a nurse who put patients at risk> 11. <Received counseling> The above experience suggests the necessity of approaches to prevent isolation of newly graduated nurses and early response to changes of these nurses. |
