| 内容記述 | The purpose of this research is to bring to light the ART system at special functioning hospitals and the views of the nursing staff in regard to nursing-care that arises from the system. Three special functioning hospitals with ART in the Kanto region were selected as research subjects. Participants of the research are a few of nursing staff member (s) (nurse, midwife and assistant nurse) who were each given a semi-structured interview. Furthermore, in order to understand the concept of the ART system at each of the facilities, we obtained information from one immediate nurse manager of the research participants of the same facility through a survey form. The result of the research demonstrated two features concerning the ART system at special functioning hospitals depending on the environment where it is provided: "Out-Patient-Oriented Facility" and "Out-Patient/ Hospital Ward-Oriented Facility." It was also found that the nursing staff working under such systems held the following views toward nursing -care: Nursing staffs working at the former-type facilities provided views such as "a reproduction center centering on couples," "closely knit relationships among specialist co-workers," "informed consent through cooperation with other workers" and "flexible response of colleague nurses," showing an understanding of the "system of ART that focuses on patients." However, they also revealed such views as "making efforts to ensure timely care," wishing to reflect patients' requests in their medical treatment" and that "our hands are full with ensuring safety of patients due to work overload," testifying the fact that the nursing staff cannot fully handle the various roles bestowed upon them. On the other hand, nursing staffs at the latter-type facilities provided views such as "cumbersome tasks and perfunctory care," "fragmented care depending on different divi sions and environments," showing their view that, due to the "doctor-led ART system," continual care is not being maintained through sectional organization at their facility. |
