Three pediatric nurses, who had roles of preceptors with three years of clinical experience, were participated in this study. They were informed of the objectives and the outline of this study and signed in.\n[Findings and Discussion] Preceptors’ approaches were found to be categorized into five groups. 1. Preceptors chose to teach preceptees not only skills but evidences of care. 2. Preceptors sought good enough care and showed it to their preceptees, as they did not recognize to be role models doing the best care. 3. Preceptors thought creating relations with children and families, which were not on manuals, were valuable. 4. Preceptors appeared where receptees were caring children for checking their skills and children’s safety. 5.
