A study based on a questionnaire was carried out after the technical exercise, with responses received from 117 nursing students (rate of reply: 82.3%) and 77 students who had undergone practical training in general surgery (55.0%). It was found that those who had taken part in technical exercises that modeled close-to-real postoperative situations (i.e., one day after the operation, with the patient's wounds in the very early stages of healing, drains and intravenous drips still in place) had learned by simulated experience the importance of, and techniques for, closely observing the patient's medical state while providing the usual nursing care. In addition, of those who had completed practical training in general surgery, 74% responded that the technical exercise had proved useful. On the other hand, the students experienced difficulties in determining the degree of the patient's wound pain and how to judge by eye whether a wound was healthy or needed attention. This is a limitation on the current demonstrations that use a dummy. In future we plan to further sophisticate our teaching methods of applied nursing techniques, concerning role-playing, by adopting the results of this study in which teachers will play the roles of patient and nurse.}, pages = {39--50}, title = {周手術期患者の寝衣交換に関する技術演習の教授方法の検討 -ロールプレイングを改善するための基礎調査-}, year = {2012} }
